Today I was surfing around some of the Mars sites and doing some research because Mars facinates the heck out of me. Today I watched a short movie on youtube about the discovery of what appears to be bones. I have included a link to this picture so everyone can have a look. Tell me what you think.

To me it looks like the skull from that creature in the movie Preditor. LOL
This is getting exciting!!!!

Maybe someone can take the picture and examine it. I do not have the software to make high quality close ups.

Another thing that strikes me as odd is that, if the rover took this photo. Why didn't NASA imediatly command the rover to futher inspect it?

No, we haven't found remains of any humanoids.

The "skull" you are seeing is just a rock with a bunch of shadows, nothing more. This is an example of pareidolia -- the phenomenon in which our brain makes patterns out of things that aren't really there -- such as seeing shapes in clouds. The most famous example of that involving Mars is the infamous "Face on Mars", which turned out to be shadows and data artifacts on a photo of the martian surface.

No, we have certainly not found humanoid remains! This is exactly like the "face on Mars" which turned out to be a trick of the shadows.

I watched the beginning of that video. That was enough. No-one ever got poor by taking advantage of other people who have no idea.

I see rocks.

The human visual cortex is designed to intepret facial expressions. Any time we see anything that looks like two eyes, we cue in on it and say "Aha! a Face!" Otherwise emoticons would work. ;)

Back to work, folks, nothing to see here. . . .
