I have a little network set in my house. I dont have a wireless card for my laptop but however i have an another wireless router. Is it possible to connect to my network using that other router pluged directly into my laptop? If so can you walk me through. My present router is a Linksys WRT54G v3 and i want to access that network with a Netgear WGR514 V6 that is plugged directly to my laptop. I want them to connect wirelessly. Thank you

Hi, no this is not possible. To do this the router would have to support a mode called Bridge Mode, and 99.9% of all routers, including your own, do not.

You need to just go purchase a wireless Adapter to plug into your laptop.

Sorry.......

have you ever referred to as Linksys? they have incredibly stable tech help. additionally, the IP handle of the Linksys could be conflicting with the IP handle of your Verizon DSL modem. connect lower back to the modem (without the router) and get your IP handle. i think of the Linksys is 192.168.a million.a million in the event that they're the comparable, then you definately'll would desire to alter the IP handle of the Linksys router.
