Talk it out with them, the person you are referring to a great listener, he probably just does not understand the situation that you are in. His point of you and your point of you could be so different.

The only people that get the priviledge of being called my friend are the ones that don't make me miserable. Those people that make me miserable I call "family"...
But if a friend is doing something that is out of character, then I call him/her on it... Like, Knock it off or face the wrath of Sarah.

If they are your friend, talk to them & find out what is making them miserable & see if you can help them. If this is something that they hold on to & can't let go of, you might have to distance yourself from them. But, first, try to help them as best as you can. Like you said, they are your friend & we help friends :-)

Depends on how good of friend if I care about them we work it out. If I don't care I stop talking to them. I actually have a friend I fight with alot, we stop talking for a while and eventually we blow it off and continue being friends.

Try to talk it out! That's all you really can do is "TRY"...and hope they will meet you somewhere in the middle! I don't like to just walk away and forget them, but if all else fails...do what you gotta do for your own peace of mind! *hugs babe* =D

Walk away: you need the vacancy in your life. It'll help you see the role you played in the relationship while allowing for new friends to come in.
(My best pal is making me nuts, too.)

You can't change anyone else. You can only control yourself and your own responses to a situation.
Since I don't know you or your situation, I'd advise you to follow your heart and do what you feel is right. Not what you think - what you feel.
