Brazil is a huge country, with many wonderful options of places to visit. I decided to tell you a little about the state where I live now, because it's a small state, not much known, but very beautiful.

I was born and grew up in Sãp Paulo, but live now in Vila Velha, Espírito Santo state. It's very near Vitória, the state capital, and the two are good places for you to start your visit. There are wonderful beaches, historical buildings, and good restaurants, where you can have a fish stew called "Moqueca Capixaba" (see link bellow), that is typical of this region, other seafood, and many other different kinds of foods.

A place you must see is an old convent, with more than 500 years old, built up in a hill, near the beach. It's an interesting place for anyone, independent of religion, because is of its historical importance, and because you have a fabulous view, from up there. It's very near our apartment, I can see it from my bedroom's window. It's called Convento da Penha:

If you like animals, you must get to know the Projeto Tamar, where they work with sea turtles. Some of their bases are at the north coast of this state.

You can then travel to the interior of the state, to the mountains. There are many lovely cities, built by Italian and German imigrants, among others.

Hope you can come, one day, and have a great time in my country!!

Thank you so much for asking this lovely question!! :) :)

Well if you have never been to Brazil, then you have to at least go to Rio de Janiero. Definitely have dinner at Terraco Atlantico and have the Medallion Steak with Pimeontese Rice. You should be able to meet a date there or when your finished simply go into Help Discoteque next door. The live show at Franks Bar on Princess Isabelle Ave should at least be seen once. Definitely want a front row seat.

For nature, a great place to see is Champada Diamantina in Bahia.
