I love a lot of foreign films. Of course, they are not foreign to the people who live in the country they're from! But US films tend to be predictable and, well, boring. I love:
Babette's Feast
Like Water for Chocolate
Tampopo
Marusa No Ona
Eat Drink Man Woman

What are some of YOUR favorites?

The seventh Seal is with the aid of a ways my popular. The Bicycle Thief, Loves of a Blonde (an early Milos Forman, the director of one Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and and Amadeus) and eight a million/2 are all up there too. nonetheless, i'm nowhere close to as knowledgeable in distant places action picture as i might desire to be.

Donnie Darko (the advantage of being English is that i can answer these questions like this and you cannot call this film boring).

My favorite non-English film is metropolis, which is a silent German film and Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon.

Like Water For Chocolate
A Beautiful Life
Pan's Labyrinth
I've seen so many that I don't know the names to, it seems that foriegn films are always better and i think that it is partly because you really have to pay attention and understand the words to get the movie, so you watch more and remember more...you pay closer attention to it, it almost feels like you are a part of their world, like you are actully wrapped up inside it.
