Try ebay, you could get a used one for cheaper. Just a thought. I don't know anything about the game.

No, in fact, I am also saving up for guitar hero. I dont know which game I want to get first, but i Plan on getting 1, 2, and 3. I'm getting DDR first, but then im saving my money up for guitar hero. Def NOT a waste of money.

Guitar hero is awesome.. you should get it. Try a used game shop, like gamestop. You'll get the guitar and game for cheaper than walmart. Their stuff is always in very good condition, so no worries.
Anyway, guitar hero is my favorite ps2 game. No matter how many times you play all the songs, it never gets old ;)

GH I think was the best $80 I ever spent. It is an excelent game. But keep this in mind GH is about $40 and GH2 is about $50. With the wireless guitar at around $60 your best bet would be if possible buy the bundle pack for $80. Other wise look at local pawn shops. Now if you have any game stores take some of your old games in and see if you can get store credit torwards GH.

If you can afford it without putting your budget in stress then I say go for it. But if it will stress out your budget then it's not a very mature decision at this time. Sometimes, we have to save for things we really want.

no it is not a waste of money it is really popular and if ur a rock fan ull love it and go check its reviews at gamespot .com and go buy it.
