No-Brainer, Xbox 360 is the best. Awesome graphics and online multiplayer and content download make this a MUST for any hardcore gamer out there. Don't listen to anyone who says the 360's not good because of the RRoD, they've fixed that now. I have a Wii and it's great to. I think the only reason you'll EVER get a PS3 is if you want Blu-ray movies and console exclusive games. Other than that, it's just another Next-Gen game console.

That depends.
What games do you like to play?
Do you have any game consoles now? Each new console can play last-generation's games (well, not ALL of them, but some...)
Best advice is to go to the store, and make lists of the games that interest you on each console. If a game appears on more than one console, cross it off your list - you're only interested in those game that are exclusive, meaning, they only appear on one console. An example would be Halo3 for the 360, or anything Mario for the Wii. These titles will never appear on another company's console. Ever.
Once you have your list, check out the reviews for each game. A good site for this is http://gamerankings.com. This site polls reviews from many different gaming magazines and websites, to give you a rough idea of how good the game might be. It also provides links to those individual reviews so you can read more in-depth about the game.
Keep in mind that a good score doesn't always guarantee a good game. For instance, I don't care how high of a score a racing game gets - I don't like racing games. Period. On the other hand, a lower score doesn't always mean it's a bad game either. If a reviewer gave a game a bad score because it's "just more of the same", you may still like the game - especially if all you want is "just more of the same."
Avoid buying a console based on games that are "coming soon". All too often, games will get delayed, or even canceled. Even then, previews and screenshots can be deceiving. Until the game is released, no one can say how good it's going to be.
Personally, I'm leaning towards the 360 for its games like Gears of War, Viva Pinata, and Blue Dragon. The PS3 just doesn't have a lot of good exclusives right now. I'm also not sure about the Wii, but I might pick one up later on.

Well i'll put it like this xbox 360 in my perspective has some of the best games, but too many glitches, the playstation 3 is nice i mean you can go on the internet for free but it costs too much and the sales are lower than 360 and wii, last but not least the wii the game in which you're being active and having fun.My choice would be the wii.

Best Software: Xbox 360
Best Hardware: Playstation 3
Most Innovative: Wii
Overall Winner: Xbox 360
Xbox 360 hardware has a higher failure rate compared to the other consoles but the software quality and selection is uncomparable. Microsoft has extended the standard warranty to 3 years. I've never had any problems with mine (Pro) nor has any of my friends.

Almost a third of XBOX 360 are malfunctioning right from the start. PS3 return rate is only around 3%.
Let's compare them
PS3 has 7+1 kernels in Cell processor, Xbox 360 -only 3x2
PS3 uses advanced tech called Blu-Ray, one disc can store up to 50 gb (in the future - up to 200 gb), Xbox 360 - regular dual DVD (9.5 gb).
Calculations per sec - PS3 - 51-billion-dot-product-operati... per second
Xbox 360 - 33.6-billion-dot-product-opera... per second
PS3 has full media support - USBs, built-in card reader (except 20 gb version), ability to use printer and so on.
Xbox 360 has USBs and only 2 memory slots.
PS3 supports up to 7 Bluetooth Controllers
Xbox 360 - up to 4 Controllers
PS3 - wi-fi included (except 20 gb version)
Xbox 360 - wi-fi will cost you around 100 $
Xbox 360 is widely known for so-called "red ring of doom" problem - it gets overheated easily. My PS3 was running for more than 8 hours non-stop with no problems. Sometimes Xbox 360 becomes so overheated, that thermopaste on CPU melts, drips on motherboard and successfully shortcircuits it.
Besides all of this, I've seen disassembled Xbox 360 - regular PC architecture - Billy Gates is an uninventive nerd (as usual).
When I saw disassembled PS3 - it was a surprise - smart architecture, good cooling (don't buy external PS3 coolers - they make everything worse - original system is good), etc.
In 2008 we'll get more than 300 games, including Metal Gear Solid 4 and other great exclusives. Here is the great link to the future PS3 releases. http://ps3.ign.com/index/release.html......
PS3 online world will be free, Xbox 360 - you have to pay.
In some countries people call Xbox 360 "Coffin 360".
The funniest thing, that right now there are no games for PS3, that show full potential of the console.
Sony expects PS3 to stay on the market for, at least, 7-10 years.
I didn't mention Wii, because it's so weak, no point to talk about it.

There is no 'the best' console. It's personal prefference.
For instance, if you like a new twist of things, fun innotive games, a nintendo wii is more for you. An xbox 360 is great for games, and especially if you love going online play. A playstation 3 is more likely to appeal to multimedia loving people, and ones who like uber graphics.

All game consoles are comparably the same, in graphics, games, etc.... usually the best game console, is what is affordable, I have a PS1, PS2, and bought an Xbox 360 for a popular new system at a reasonable price. Reason I choose Xbox 360.

thats a tough question to answer !!
wii & 360/ps3 is like apples & oranges
anyways the point is, what sort of games do you like to play; try it out at the store and see what you like.
360&ps3 are more alike; in that they have alot more adult oriented games as well as kids games - racing etc.. and because of the higher end systems - they have better video and audio. As of now, 360 because of its earlier release has more games and they are DAMN good;
but ps3 has quite a few games as well, and they are doing quite well. ps3 has free online play; 360 you have to pay 50$ or so a year - which in a whole is not alot and totally worht it for the online environment.
if you have a Windows Media Center at home, and you record shows etc; you can use 360 as an extender. = as in watch movies / listen to music / photos etc on your tv from you r computer
at this point you cant do that with ps3 directly, you need to get 3rd party softwrae to be able to do it - like Nero Media Home etc.
so its up to you - figure out what sort of games you like to play so you can decide if you want to go wit ha system like wii or if you go with 360/ps3 !! and once you do that.. you can cut it down further if you tis just 360 and ps3 -
and ofcourse if you like halo - theres your one and only option - which is 360 - but if you like Metal Gear Solid or Final Fnatasy series - theres only PS3
you pick :)
and good luck, as i am sure you will enjoy whatever you end up getting !!
by the way, wii is very addictive - i personally have the ps3 at this point - and going to buy 360 for halo :) my friend has the wii and we play that all the time!!

well, personally, I'd go for the 360 and Wii combo, because then u get to play the good nintendo trademarked games and cool functions like the motion controls.
360 because then u get games like Halo and Bioshock, whereas with the PS3, most of the great games u can also get on t eh 360, but u cant play Halo on the PS3, so yea
