Yes, methane. Do not light your farts on fire!!! Many people have lost parts of their intestines doing that. The flame can go inside of the intestines and cause major damage.

Its methane, and actually if every animal passed gas at one time, we would have an ecological disaster on our hands, methane i think has damaging results to ozone.
