About 2 weeks ago, on the 13th I was supposed to get my period but I did not and that same day I got the depo shot, then the following week I had symptoms of my period such as breaking out, cramps, and sore breasts. It was basically like my period with out the blood. I just wanted to know if anybody else experienced this with the shot. Its never happened to me before, so it was a bit strange.

When I was on the depo I wouldnt bleed at all untill right around the time I was due for my next shot. Maybe you should call the doc and ask them about it.
I will say this, the depo messed with me badly. Physically, mentally, emotionally. How long have you been on it? Have you noticed any changes in your attitude, your weight etc etc?
Also, when I finally got off the shot, after a year, I had REALLY bad periods. Lots of clotting, horrible horrible cramps, and bled for over a month straight. It took over a year after that for my periods to finally regulate again.
I had a bad experience with the depo and I dont reccomend it, I hope youre experience is going and does go much smoother.

This is completely normal. I never got my period when I was on the depo shot. The depo shot "tricks" your body into thinking your pregnant. Without a break of it (like the placebo pills when you're on The Pill), it's completely normal to never get a period.
I also agree with the woman above. I had a bad experience with it as well. If you're bad at taking pills, I'd suggest the patch or the nuevo ring.

Lots of women have side affects like that and worse.
You may not ever get a period, or you could bleed for months.
I would research the shot a little more before you get the second one, as too many women have horrible health issues with the shot.

yeah, you could also have a period that last for an entire year with depot.
that stuff does serious damage to your organs.
