About 15 years ago, I built a very large shelving unit from wood I got at a local timber yard. At first it was used to house books and videos ... then my Dad's car collection .... then it was moved into our cold cupboard and held our tinned goods. Now it's in my bedroom with books on it ... still going strong. I'm so proud of it.

yes ive built lots of stuff from scratch, in fact its very versatile stuff, but i cant seem to find it in any shops, and its the one thing you cannot buy on Ebay...

That's what I do here when I'm not typing a response. I build machinery that solves problems or make automation easier. I also build fighting robots, called battlebots, and I have never been defeated. I could not begin to name all the things I have built over the years. Hopefully one of my creations will make me rich. I'm looking forward to the day I have my own infomercial.

I built a DVD shelf 2 years ago. It's nice, although I need a bigger one now. And I made my mom and step dad two shelves for christmas. (lil trinket shelves) The work you put into them is crazy, but something to be proud of! :0)

the first thing i ever made was a copper ashtray for my mum it is a triangle shape and the bottom as an old penny stuck in the bottom,i made it in metal work at school mum as kept it even though she has not smoked for years,she now keeps it on bedroom window sill with odds and ends in it... :)
