Silverkris you are being intelectually dishonest with yourself. If you are for abortion you are pro-abortion. You may not like the sound of it but if the shoe fits....

I hope every woman who has had an abortion reads an article like this. Maybe deep down they can still hear their baby saying mommy don't leave me.....

Absolutely nothing would make most of them think twice,as far as they're concerned it's not even human until it is actually born.

I don't trust the government to regulate abortion, if anything I trust the mother to make the right decision more.
But then again, when people talk about "unwanted children" and "forcing babies to suffer through life" I get a little sick. They're literally implying I'd be better off dead, and I'd like to smack 'em upside the head for it.
Also, anyone who sues a doctor for "wrongful birth" should be treated like they just volunteered for sterilization and should probably lose custody of their kid(s) as well.

No, because that baby was born in only 15 weeks premature. Abortions are safest in the 1st trimester, and illegal after about 4 months of pregnancy. So this family wanted to have little Kimberly. If there is a woman out there who does not want to birth a child she should (and thankfully does) have the right to legally abort the child. This child is a miracle, but by no means ought to effect anyone's view on abortion once you consider the circumstances and facts surrounding abortion laws.

While I wish more women would think more about abstinence and birth control before getting into sexual relationships, that is not my business to intervene in their lives. A woman can make an abortion decision for only one person- herself.
I support the choice being made available to women, though in my own personal case I would choose to not have an abortion. I would have the child and raise it myself.
I agree with rumbler- pro choice is not pro abortion.

I've thought about this issue a lot more than twice, and I don't rest my opinion on the theory that a foetus isn't human or that viability outside the womb is an important test. So, no, the survival of a second-trimester premie doesn't force me to re-consider that position.

No.
15 weeks early means this baby was born 25 weeks into the pregnancy. The abortion limit is 24 weeks, so this baby had gone passed that limit.
Hear, hear the man above. Better to abort than to fill the world with yet more unwanted children, more mouths to feed, more strain on our already stretched resources.
**EDIT**
and thanks for your erudite arguments for your own point of view. You are truly an educated shining light for the anti-abortion lobby.

Nope. There is so point at which a fetus is not viable outside the womb. It would be great if there was no need for abortions. I think that birth control education should be promoted to prevent abortions. But, many "pro-life" people are against sex education.

First of all, nobody is "pro-abortion". I'm going to call you on your intellectually dishonest attempt to frame the issue in a slanted way.
The proper definition is pro-choice. Basically, what a woman does with her body on this is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
And I'll tell you, to call yourselves "Pro-life" is a bloody joke. To paraphrase Barney Frank, many so-called "pro-life" people seem to believe that life begins at conception and ends at birth....because many of these people support the death penalty, are against regulation of firearms, support the war on Iraq, and don't support programs such as Head Start, the S-CHIP program that really help peoples' lives.

No, because it's the woman's think first...not yours not mine...she has to go through the emotional and physical issues HER only.
That baby is kinda to dry & stiff to say it was from an abortion...it looks like it's a fake set up to trick people. No blood no embyio fluid, even the gloves show no dampness...this is a fraud

Pro-choice is not pro-abortion. Most of us strongly favor birth control which prevents unwanted kids and the need for abortion.
I am personally opposed to the concept of abortion, but understand that our secular constitution allows for that type of personal freedom. We are not a theocracy and we need to be thankful for that. I believe in God but do not want theocracy, look what happens where they exist. (ie Iran)

It says to me, people should be smart enough to abort as early as possible if they're going to do it
-----updated-----
personally, I intend to do my best to have no one I love get into this situation where they might abort
however, I should tell you that in the summer I worked at a pharmacy and sold Plan B to at least five couples, so chances are that you may think I'm a murderer.
