I have been having really bad headaches. My doctor told me Tylenol is safe but I have taken 2 pills a days for the last 3 days. Is that too much?

Follow the instructions on the bottle...and you'll be just fine.

That is fine. I took it everyday for several weeks with my first because I got a headache at lunch everyday. And, that was ten years ago and she is fine. Actually she is borderline genius... maybe it was the tylenol, lol. Another little tip, if the tylenol doesn't work too well alone, wash it down with a coke. The caffeine will also help your headache. Personally I have sworn off caffeine this pregnancy but it really does work.

no that's not too much... take 2 every 4-6 hours but don't exceed more than 3 dosages in one day... i have that same problem with the headaches and Tylenol just hasn't been much help

When I was pg my doctor told me I could take Asprin when I got headaches. I only got like two the whole time so i am not an expert. If your headaches continue you should see your doc again to make sure everything with the baby is ok it could be a sign of something bigger.

honestly, they tell you that medications are safe to take and then ten years down the track they find that they are not as safe as first thought...

im in the seventh month of my second pregnancy and experienced headaches in the beginning with both, i know they can be uncomfortable but if i was you, i would avoid medication at all costs....

if you have to take tylenol i suggest that you take one and see how it goes...try drinking more water, getting some rest in a dark room and just overall taking it easy. i know, easier said that done if you have a child already (my daughter is three)...

good luck with your pregnancy...

That amount is ok. But a headache 3 days in a row is not good. You need to call your dr to see what else he may suggest. You are probably dehydrated or missing iron or something in your diet. Have them check your blood preasure and sugar level, they may be a little high.

Congrats on your pregnancy and take care!

I am 38 weeks and due to ligament pain I have taken it up to every 6 hours for weeks. My doc said that tylonol is the safest medicine you can take as far as the baby goes, just don't go over the recommened does.

No. You can safely take two every 4-6 hours.

You can safely follow the recommended dosage on the bottle. Try Extra-Strength gel caps and chase them with some hot tea. I found that worked best for me.
