There's more than just physical pain. Try telling that to somebody whose been told "your child is dead". Those words probably hurt a lot more than any physical injury.

i know that sticks and stones can break bones (just ask my brother, he split my head open with a 2x4) but im not sure about words hurting, ive seen an awful lot of peopl cry because of words

No. Attacks by sticks and stones can he healed. But words get right to the heart of your imagination and can stay with you for years. I remember the truly nasty words said to me more than the sticks.

Sticks/stones are attacks against the body. Words attack your sense of self-worth.

Absolutely not!!!!! I would rather have a black eye and a broken arm than the emotional abuse!!! Groken bones heal but it takes alot longer to get over hurtful words that someone has thrown at you. Emotional scars take alot longer to heal than the physical!

Thats a total lie. You can heal physical wounds but emotional wounds are a different story
