I'm pretty sure the D-backs will win the NL West

I know the rockies are red hot right now but I think the D-backs will hold them off

They have good clutch hitters such as Eric Byrnes, Chris Young, Stephen Drew and Tony Clark and very good starting pitchers such as Brandon Webb and Livan Hernandez

They have a solid bulllpen too that keeps them in games and doesn't relinquishes any leads with guys like Tony Pena, Juan Cruz, Brandon Lyon and their primetime closer Jose Valverde

I think they will. Basically they need to find a way to win one of the three games this weekend in Colorado. (That's no easy chore considering the Rockies have won 11 in a row and are 48-30 at Coors this year.) However the reason I think they will is Bob Melvin's decision to save Brandon Webb for the series. I know Melvin was already probably the favorite to win the Manager of the Year, but that just cements it. He made perhaps the smartest and most critical decision of the year when he opted to bypass Webb yesterday agains the Pirates (considering the Pirates were pitching John Van Benschoten, there was almost no way they could have lost that game). So yes, I think Arizona gets it done tonight with Webb on the mound. But if they don't, they're in trouble.

Dodger pitching has been a comic tale at present, yet i think of they are in a position to tug it off in the event that they are in a position to get Kemp and Ethier around to play something of the season. those 2 have been preserving the team in large status, it is like they convey an entire prevailing dynamic to the team. The Dodgers ought to make some transformations nevertheless. removing Uribe may well be a start up, and produce some new pitchers in Capuano and Kershaw have been the only starters at present that have somewhat been effective. i think of the Dodgers nevertheless have a shot on the NL West div.

I agree with you guys here, they have to win one for sure against the Rockies this weekend.Mind you, thats not easy since those Coors lite boys are just killing the ball. The only good chance I see is tonight with Webb starting, also The D-backs coming off a bashing of the pirates.

The diamond backs are gonna blow it against the rockies, while the padres win the west with a sweep over the brewers. The padres win the west
Diamondbacks, win the wildcard

They got to stop the steamrolling Rockies for at least one game to keep them from passing them, then hope the Padres don't sweep. They should be able to do that and hold on to at least a tie in the division and if they can't they don't deserve to be in the playoffs.

They are in a very good position to go to the playoffs. They could lose one of their remaining three and still go while the Rockies and Padres will have to win all their remaining games to have a chance.
