The internet service is controlled by Burmese Military government and there is no private internet server in Burma. When the last nation wide protest occured 19 years ago in Burma, the world did not know much about the event eventhough over 3000 people are killed on the street and there are hardly 100 photos record taken during such bloody crackdown. It was easy for the government to oppress its people when no one is getting enought information of the event. Later, government changed it name as "Myanmar" so that lots of people have no idea about 8.8.88 movement of Burma but think Myanmar as peaceful counrty. It is no longer the case because the developing technology help connecting Myanmar and the World. Since we can easily get news about current situation and actually see photos and videos of bloody crackdown this time, it makes very difficult for military government to kill people on the street (but they still do). In this case, when they cut off all the phone line and internet connections...they are making Myanmar apart from rest of the world and they can do anything they want...kill people in the dark at the absence of media.
I hope this answer your question.

LOL... you better wash that spoon off after you're done stirring the pot :-) The Internet is being blocked by their own 'conservative' government. It's an attempt to quell the movement for democracy and to keep the international community knowing firsthand what the government is doing to supress dissent. But you knew that already, didn't you?

The conservatives are doing it? People are dying and getting beat. A Japanese journalist was shot in the street. They fire into crowds. The world's governments is trying to figure out how to deal with all of this and just get in there to talk.
Familiar with the history of the country? Get a bag of pork rinds, watch some network news and play your PSP. Leave it to the big boys. Bush did not cut off their internet...... school is a good thing. Putz.

looks as in case your socialists are in settlement. Many feminsts on the left propose for strict anti-porn regulations. many human beings, extremely gullible human beings, could be greatly surprised to benefit that worldwide places like Canada, Sweden, Norway, Iceland and Finland have different maximum strict porn regulations interior the western worldwide. all of them fall below the class of "hate speech" against women. In Canada there is an ongoing experience against a lesbian e book keep that replaced into raided for merchandising porn smuggled in from the u . s ..

Conservatives? It's the repressive dictatorship that's blocking the internet, not conservatives... And if you're trying to insinuate that conservatives are dictators, you are indeed an idiot.

It's from those on the left with the schizophrenically protean minds that such comparisons are made.
"Bush's military junta in America makes him and supporters like Hitler and The Nazis....but they're also Zionists."
