i've tried liteon,pioneer,samsung and sony all get the yellow triangle in device manager system profile,vista says this is the best driver for this drive.help!!

i had xp on this board before i added vista and dvd drive worked fine. intel d945gtpl socket 775,intel celeron D 3.06ghz its not the board.

More likely it's the MOTHERBOARD needs updated drivers, as DVDRW use generic drivers in windows.
Check the IDE controller on motherboard has latest Vista drivers from motherboard manuf website

damn man looks liek your having a lot of problems with vista.you shouldve stayed with xp bro!but do what the other guy said.it might be your Mobo.if anything try to go back to xp
