I'm a San Diego Padres fan. Milton Bradley just went on the disabled list. If the league issues a suspension for his part in the argument which led to multiple ejections, can Bradley serve his suspension while his on the disabled list

No. He would serve the suspension after being taken off the DL.

Right now Bradley isn't listed as being on the D.L. - unless the Padres are planning to add someone to their 40-man roster, it would be foolish for them to put him on the disabled list. Since it's September, they don't need to D.L. him because the roster limits are expanded.

Pitcher Rafael Betancourt was allowed to serve his suspension while on the disabled list for testing posative for steriods back in 2005. Unles this rule has changed.

Although, Kerry Woods had to finish out his suspension in 2004 before he could go on the disabled list.

Is there an actual written rule somewhere or are we all guessing?

Nope he'd have too be off the disabled list in order to serve out the suspension.

he has to be on the active roster unlike football when a player can serve his suspension and not even be on a team.

We Just take him of the DL but him on the active roster and just then suspend him that way he can recover form the injury and be suspended legaly at the same time.
