Meads just asked if it was a disciplinary offence to use the net from work for personal use, I stated that in my workplace it is not, you are allowed to do this in your lunch breaks and after work hours. I also clearly stated that I AM NOT USING YA FROM WORK!
why did so many people thumb that answer down, would they have preferred I cut and paste my organisations internet useage policy??
And why did another user see fit to answer the Q with "not if you are a social worker" an attempt at a cheap shot at me??
That is just todays example, I could give many more . . .

Sorry it's the same answer as before, Ignorant people that, if you don't agree with something fair enough you have your opinion, but when somebody is giving you the facts as information and you drop a thumb down that's IGNORANCE.
Have a star.

Sometimes its because people are just idiots, theres no explaining it. But I put a thumbs down to anyone who offends me in any way, or makes a point whether its actually true or not (alot of the time no one is right or wrong and some people cant exept that) that is strongly against my beliefs. Its not anything personal most of the time its just to show an indication of how many people agree or disagree with an answer.

Thumbs down- The proverbial knife in the back.
There are to many people who use this if they disagree with an answer rather than using it for a bad answer(not the same thing)
A knife in the back is a cowards attack, the system is anonymous enough, if you have an issue take it up and state your reasons.
There is no physical violence on the web, male ,female, disabled all have their wits to use on equal footing so there is no need to throw stones and run.

I wouldn't worry about it luv. The thing is if you have a different opinion to anyone you get the thumbs down. I have had loads even when I know I have been 100% right. I just think now that there is no point in people being ignorant unless they get a chance to show it sometimes, bless em.

I think it's the quality of the answer they are giving a thumbs down to, not whether they agree or not.
I feel the quality lacked because you focused on what your situation is more than the over all intent of the question; it is too long; and you write using your own colloquialisms rather than a clear and concise point. This is why there are many thumbs down. I wouldn't think it an assault on the truth.
Best to you!

i do no longer know elementary how you may aim one particular group of human beings for providing you with thumbs down. merely on account which you do no longer consider Christians does no longer propose that they are those that are providing you with the thumbs down. I supply many Biblical solutions to questions and that i recieve hunderds of thumbs down. i actual do no longer element the finger at all people. it would desire to be all people who does no longer consider me! an identical is going for you besides. you particularly need slightly greater data formerly you're making assumptions.

I don't understand people that thumbs down when they don't agree with you. I thought the feature was for marking bad or inappropriate answers. I get thumbs down sometimes and I wonder what I did to offend anyone. I only thumbs down if an answer was truly inappropriate or used bad language for no reason. Who knows with these people, though. I'm with you.

Thumbs up or thumbs down.. theres no difference really.
So what if I get a thumbs down.. I know what I have said is true to my best knowledge.
Some people don't even read the questions.. they pounce on straight on to the thumbs up and down.
Just imagine if we had thumbs up and down for the questions back... how many questions would be thumbs down etc.
However personal remarks/comments are a step too far.
