I'm old enough to remember friendly disagreements betwix people of differing political beliefs . And for those tooo young to remember , I'll tell ya. . . . it was a helluva lot better than it is today !!
So , Dems , Doncha Think You've Suffered Enough And Maybe It's Time To Dump The Far-Left Wackos And Let Us All Return To The Better Days In America ?

Once upon a time, there was a tavern
Where we used to raise a glass or two
Remember how we laughed away the hours,
Think of all the great things we would do

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way

Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di
Di di di di di di di di di di

Then, the busy years went rushing by us
We lost our starry notions on the way
If, by chance, I'd see you in the tavern,
We'd smile at one another and we'd say

Those were the days, my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we'd choose
We'd fight and never lose
Those were the days, oh yes, those were the days

Di di di di di di

Yes...I started out as a Kansas City Truman Dem but jumped ship when the lunatic liberal Left fringe took over.

Just as many others have since done.

I know many Democrats and interact with them on a daily basis. They do not espouse the hardcore left wing values of groups like that. In fact with most of my Democratic friends we have similar opinions, but differ on how best to accomplish them. None the less our interactions are civilized and respectful even on the subject matter we completely disagree on. I find it unfortunate that all Democrats tend to get lumped in with lunatic fringe of the extreme left wing, but the reason it happens is because that is the modern face of the party.

I had a similar problem with Republican Party when it was usurped by the religious right and corporate bloodsuckers. Although I never registered as a Republican, I usually voted with them. These days I consider myself an independent. I will vote for whatever person I feel will best represent my interests regardless of party affiliation. I suspect that many of my Democratic friends do exactly the same thing whether they would ever admit it or not.

AAAHHHHHH, Those were THE GOOD OL' DAYS!!
Comes to mind: In the 1950's & 1960's, the REPs had experienced SOME influence by the John Birch Society, a rather far right group.
That situation was purged, and the REPs returned to normalsy, and PROGRESSED.
Today, the once honorable DEM. party has been assalted and conquired by the LIBERAL FAR LEFT.
Untill the responsible Democrat's "REGAIN" their rightly place's of control, THE DEMOCRAT PARTY OF OLD , is as dead to the AVERAGE AMERICAN, as a DODO bird !!!!!
Listen up folks, as long as the far left has the control of THE Democrat party, there are MILLIONS of Americans who will vote against the Democrat candidate, even if the Republicans run a MONKEY, RIDING ON A GOATS BACK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Absolutely...the left has been hijacked by every fringe group know to man! The homosexual radical agenda, etc. Oh how I long for the old democratic party. Even though I am a republican, I still remember the time when there were statesman on both sides. Men and woman who could express there difference with intellect and respect. Now it is all Jerry Springer mentality.

You know what, i would. I know that the regular Dem's want to tax us all to death but they do not want the change the way of life in America, they do not hate America. The far left in this country wants to entirely change the way we live through toleration for just about everything you could think of. Plus i am not into a "one world, one society" country of no faith, well no Christianity anyways....

I'd feel better about both parties if they dumped the far side wackos. But yes, Dems in particular need to dump MoveOn like they just took Ex Lax.

I like the infusion of the Far left blogs because they show off the Democrat base.

What I would like to see is CBS, NBC, and ABC reporting the news. I wish they would stop making the news.

Yes, I would be happy if those Left wing nuts would leave the Democrat Party. President Kennedy or President Truman would never even recognize this Socialist party using the name Democratic Party. Agree?

When I heard Kucinich called a Constitutional Moderate by the left-wing hero on MSNBC, the sullying and depraving of the Democratic Party was complete.

(Earnest...I still have yet to recover from your 'Mandy' rendition of a few weeks ago--it haunts me!)

Yes, I would. And I would also feel better about the Republican Party if they would dump the far-right wackos like Bill O'Reilly and Rush Limbaugh and Sean Hannity. Turnabout is fair play.
