If i am Pregnant , And still on the Pill , could i have a Miscarriage?
I have been on the Pill for 2 Months BUT i am pretty sure i am pregnant again! I ahve two more active pills left on my pack!
But i was wondering , should i keep taking it till i get a possitive test? Or go off it now/? Or won't that casue me to have a "fake" period , if i go off it like that , with pills left?
And if i do get a Positive , will the Pills i have been taking , Hurt my Baby!? ( never been on the pill before , and have 2 kids )

My personal experience: When I was 38 years old, our kids were 18, 15, and 12. I had been on birth control pills for 11 years when I began experiencing some odd stomach problems, mostly pain after eating. This went on for a couple months then it was time for my yearly physical. I mentioned the stomach trouble to my doctor and she diagnosed Irritable Bowel Syndrome. As she was doing my pelvic exam, she got an unusual puzzled look on her face and asked about my last period. I told her that it was a little lighter than normal, but came on time, and I thought that probably whatever was wrong with my stomach was messing up my period, too. She said my cervix felt like I was pregnant! We had a good chuckle over that and she said there are several things that can make that happen, so we'd do some tests. She said the easiest to eliminate was pregnancy and sent me to pee in a cup for a pregnancy test. She resumed her exam and was just finishing up when the nurse brought in the results of the pregnancy test - POSITIVE! I nearly fell naked off the exam table, but my doctor was not convinced it was anything but a false positive. She brought in the fetal Doppler and we were both speechless to hear a tiny little heartbeat clear as a bell. I had no pregnancy signs. I had been losing weight because I hadn't been eating and I had been having regular periods all along, except for the last one. We had no idea how far along I was. My doctor thought about 12-14 weeks based only on how my cervix felt. Next day I went for my first ever baby ultrasound and we were totally blown away that they said I was 17 weeks along already. I was very concerned about having taken birth control pills every day when I was pregnant, but my doctor said that there is no known risk of taking birth control pills while pregnant, but they definitely were no longer necessary so I should stop taking them. She was more concerned about the fact that I had been taking high blood pressure medication and medication for migraine headaches. She said both have low risk factors, but higher risk than birth control pills do and I should stop taking all medications. Birth control pills will not cause you to have a miscarriage. They will also not hurt your baby, but if you think you are pregnant, you should stop taking them until you know for sure. I don't know about everyone, but I had 2 normal and one light period while taking the Pill while pregnant. After I stopped taking the Pill, I didn't have another "period". After our daughter was born, my husband got a vasectomy. We didn't want anymore surprises. I had not missed any pills, nor had I been on any medication that would have interferred with the effectiveness of the Pill and I hadn't been sick. My doctor said she had heard of women like me, but I was her first patient to get pregnant while taking the Pill correctly and consistently. It did help prove a point to my older kids that nothing but abstinance is 100% effective and they have a baby sister to prove it!

I think you should make an appointment with your doctor right away to get tested for pregnancy. But I know there's probably not an available appointment for at least a week so you should take a home pregnancy test. Those are pretty accurate. And if it's positive, confirm it with your doctor, then stop the pills, and don't worry. I was on the pill and got pregnant and didn't know it until I was 13 weeks along, and my baby girl turned out just fine. She's now 3 and just started preschool and just growing up so fast. Good luck...

I have 3 kids.... I know what labor pains feel like.... I came off of birthcontrol pills and if I thought there was a possiblility of pregnancy I would have thought I was having a miscarrage. There was a huge clot that came out so big that I was actually contracting for it to come out. I called the Dr in a panic and they told me that it can sometimes happen when you have high levels in your blood from the pills. I would go in and get checked since you did have sex. But try not to worry. Good luck.

TALK TO YOUR DR ASAP! When I was pregnant with what would have been my 3rd, I was on birth control pills the "mini pill" and when I found out I was pregnant I stopped dead in the pack and it caused me to miscarry. It depends on the type of pill. My doctor told me after I miscarried that I shouldn't have stopped the pill, because the one I was using will cause you to miscarry if you accidently become pregnant while on it and stop it abruptly, but other pills will do similar if you do nothing so call your dr or any OBGYN, gynecologist, planned parenthood or whatever and tell them what's going on. They will tell you how to get off the pill or if you should keep on it until you reach a certain point where you can quit it safely.

Call your doctor -- and please don't try to get serious medical answers from Y!A.
There are too many variables. My sister-in-law lost a baby early on in pregnancy while she had still been taking the pill. But I have a friend who got pregnant 3x on the pill and all her kids are fine.
And btw, if you get pregnant on the Pill, it's obviously isn't working for you. All it's going to do is compromise your health, so stop taking it.

The birth control pill will not affect a pregnancy so you can still take them. The pills are designed to block the egg and sperm from attaching to the uteral linning. Once they are attached your birth control pills are no longer effective so they are just like the placebos in your pack. Even the ermergency contraceptives will not harm the embryo. I would say just keep taking them until you get a test just in case.

If you think you are pregnant, stop all pills and go see your doctor or your OB & the "pill" takes from 1 to 3 months to fully introduce itself in your system, this vary per person.
Alot of people dont know this, get on a pill have sex and bingo, you are pregnant.

You need to stop taking the pill and see a doctor.
If you are really pregnant and are still taking the pill it can be a problem.
Good luck

if you are sure that you are pregnant take a test. better yet call your doctor so that he can do a high quality test because if you are then you need to quit the pill. I will say though I have never heard of it causing problems....
