i just dropped a freakin highlighter on my lap and now i have streaks of yellow on my jeans. how can you get it out? i'm at work right now, so i won't be able to do much more than soap and water until i get home.

Treat with either rubbing alcohol or laundry pretreater, let it sit on the stain for at least 15 minutes, then work in with your thumbs. Let it sit for another 15 minutes and check for stain removal. Repeat the process as needed until the stain is removed.
Its best to treat a stain immediately before it dries.....do you have any computer cleaning wipes that are made from alcohol handy at your desk? I'd dab a little of that on it now and then work at the stain more when you get home.

I use Carbona Stain Devils (you can find them in the laundry soap isle of the grocery). They have one specifically for ink. It works really well.

SHOUT! I have been able to get EVERY THING out w/ Shout, from mustard to my husband's favorite white T-MAC sweatshirt that he decided to use to change the oil in the car with... it works wonders.

try WD-40 it will take out the color,
