I had my baby 2 weeks ago. He was 9 lbs 5oz. My bleeding was heavy at first and has now slowed to something that resembles and medium menstrual cycle. However, the exception is that it seems that every time I breastfeed as soon as I stand up to put the baby back in his bed it feels like I've just wet myself! I go to the bathroom to find that I'm again having a heavy bleed. It slows down again within 30 minutes...is this normal? Is the bleeding being caused by uterus contracting while I'm feeding?

You got it! Your uterus is getting back to normal size though - so that's the good part! You've also made the best decision for you and your baby!
Congrats on such a nice big healthy baby too!!!
I know I always had bleeding for 3-4 weeks, it would slow down, start again, etc.... One thing you need to be careful of is doing too much. Don't wear yourself out and don't lift anything heavy. We were moving once after we had one of our babies and I was so mad - I had finally stopped bleeding for 3 days, I lifted something too heavy (which I thought, "oh, I'll be fine!" and sure enough it started back up - heavy again.
You'll probably see a significant decrease by next week. You'll be fine! Best Wishes!

Yes, that's normal. When you're breastfeeding your uterus is contracting back to its' regular size. So the bleeding is to be expected, the amount when you stand up is just because it's pooling there when you're sitting.

When you breastfeed it makes your uterus contract so that's probably why. It helps you get your figure back and makes you more healthy. Stops you getting breast cancer later on, and is much much better for you baby. Your milk has antibodies in it and its exactly the right temperature and is ready just when you need it and it helps with bonding.

thats it. Nursing naturally makes the uterus contract. As it contracts it expells more of the post pregnancy bleeding, while you sit and nurse it pools in your uterus, and whe you stand it all pours out. Its really gross, but it will probably not last much longer.

This is completely normal and will help your uterus get back to its prepregnancy size. This is called involution. Good luck and congrats on your baby!

Nipple stimulation triggers uterine contractions. I dealt with that for quite a while after giving birth.

When you sit for a long period of time and stand back up, your flow temporarily increases up to 2000 times what it was.
