Bush contradicts himself and steps over his own tongue so often he sounds like a pair of dueling banjos.

Some people on Answers clearly don't read anything that might disagree with their petrified thoughts or the junk they hear from the Murdoch propaganda machine.
GWB has certainly turned around from this disgraceful position as reported in the Christian Science Monitor in June, 2005:
The (leaked) documents show that Washington officials:
* Removed all reference to the fact that climate change is a 'serious threat to human health and to ecosystems';
* Deleted any suggestion that global warming has already started;
* Expunged any suggestion that human activity was to blame for climate change. Among the sentences removed was the following: 'Unless urgent action is taken, there will be a growing risk of adverse effects on economic development, human health and the natural environment, and of irreversible long-term changes to our climate and oceans.'

Of course not. Every one knows the climate has natural cycles. Every 500 or so years the Earth experiences warming and cooling. Understanding this to be true doesn't mean that Bush would support an international unelected bureaucracy that would control the US economy and transfer wealth to the third world on the pretext that they could somehow change nature. The fact that the climate is subject to change is no more a political issue than the fact that the sun rises in the east. The difference between Bush and Gore & co is that Bush knows this and Gore pretends not to.

So, suddenly Bush is OK?

The Liberals here in Y/A have kept up a constant yodel about how stupid Bush is, how gullible Bush is, what a moron Bush is, what a chimp Bush is, how evil Bush is, what an alcoholic loser Bush is, everything he does will destroy the world, he is insane, he is a butthead, he is mindless, Bush is the Anti-Christ.

I don't see how, after tearing down Bush so thoroughly, after total condemnation of every decision of his, the Liberals can be jumping up and say "I TOLD YOU SO!"

If anything, it should totally blow the validity of the global warming argument just because Bush believes in it.

Or do Liberals only hate and belittle people as long as they disagree with them?

Gotta wave the Hypocrisy flag on this one.

Amazing! I am in awe of the loyalty of Bush supporters. Their answers read like pleas from over protective parents trying to explain away a child's embarrassing misbehavior.

While "The Bush League" is absolutely correct in stating there is no record of our president uttering the words "I deny global warming", he did make darn sure to keep the American people out in the cold when it came to releasing scientific information that supported its danger to us all.

And how many times did Bush and Co call Gore a treehugging fool on this subject?

Bush is starting another slow flip-flop change on a big issue. Remember Iraq? first it was 9/11 involvement, then it was WMD, then it was a dictator had to be removed from power, then it was Iraq needs to be a democracy, now its fighting terrorists coming in from Iran and Syria.

So now we start the flip-flop on Global warming. First he called it a fallacy, now he's admitting we need to reduce greenhouse gases. Next?

Bush doesn't speak for us all.

And even loonies turn out to be correct in some portion of thier rantings, some of the time....

I don't think he fully accepted global warming, he simply acknowledged that greenhouse gases must be reduced. I'm all for being environmentally friendly.

I have no disrespect for Al Gore, but the other two (Clintons) are criminal in my opinion.

It's great to see the back pedalin', flip-flop, moron GWB eat his words and he acts as though he never denied the fact that Global Warming is real, just like those ppl who support him.

No. We understand that we are in a warming cycle as does Bush.
What has not been proven is whether or not man is the real reason. Al Gore's mindless, unproven ranting and cow farts contribute more to Global warming than my Jeep.

Did you know that 25 years ago renown scientists SWORE that we were entering an ice age?

Bush calling for action on climate change is a smokescreen. He's hiding something and attempting to take the focus off of it. It won’t work… all of his buddies are jumping ship and won’t cover for him much longer.
