We live in a small comunity and only get a couple kids for halloween. We always give candy but we want to give something else out to go with it since only a couple houses on our road give out anything and the kids have to ride to the houses because they are so far apart.

I will be giving two different bags to all children on halloween...one is a celephone halloween bag a little larger than most candy bags, and i went to dollar tree and bought bubbles 3/$1.00, and some halloween straw thingys, halloween rings and jewelry and plastic insects, then I will give out a bag filled with different kinds of candy, also am going to make caramel apples

Candy is the best option. Why not get baggies and fill them up with candy and give a baggie to each kid that comes by? This way each kid will get a good amount of candy. Snickers are the best. Also, maybe candy corn, twizzlers, now & laters, etc. Mix it up a little bit.

I always got a bunch of candy (on sale) like...suckers, neccos, gummi candy, gum, snickers or similar and included...stickers, pencils, tattoos and put them all in a cellophane bag (they sell these bags at the dollar tree store with 30 count) and give a bag to each child.
My mom always said the kids LOVED seeing me on Halloween!
Good luck whatever you do & have a happy Halloween! :)

How generous of you, to want to make the kids' trick-or-treating "worth it"!

Suggestions:
--Money, particularly big-ticket coins like quarters, half-dollars, or dollars. How about the golden dollar, either Sacagawea or the Presidents!
--Pens or pencils, or pen and pencil kits.
--Bandannas.
--Bookmarks.
--Keyrings.
--Cards, that is, pocket cards with positive messages.

Happy Halloween, and God bless you!
