A friend of mine who was in the pest control business for many years told me the truth about WD 40 , he said it did work because the termites do not like the smell of WD 40 they avoid the areas where it is sprayed. In fact , I was at his brothers house when he used it there.
I have used it on my own home for the past 23 years ,once a month and have not had any termite issues.

I don't know about WD-40, but when I got termites in my house, the exterminator told me that ANY poinson will kill termites. Just find the source or center of activity and spray. This will work if the problem is not yet too big. It worked for me and I saved hundreds $$$.

First: They might not be termites. If you saw... something... powder or shavings it could be construction debris, yes, even from years ago.

Second: Yes it will kill them. Will you get the whole colony? Probably not.

Third: If they're in your cabinets, they could be eating the top or bottom sills, the joists or the sub-floor as you read this.

Fourth: They could be beetles.

Fifth: Don't let them eat your house.

Call a professional. They will be able to tell you what's going on. In fact, call three companies.

It probably would kill your termites, but that's not recommended as it can corrode other things in the cabinets, as well as damage and/or warp the wood.

No, and if you read the label, it is highly flammable. The smell would drive you out also plus staining any wood it is applied to.

It would kill them but it would also stain the wood in your cupboards, not to mention the smell!
