They had all been advocating our withdrawl, now they ALL say we could still be there in 2013. Why?

Typical Democratic rhetoric. Last year the Dems campaigned that if elected and if they gained control of Congress they would withdraw all the troops and end American occupation in Iraq. They said all of this without having an exit strategy and got the gullible Americans to believe them (oh, the power of the left wing media) and got themselves control of Congress. Since then they have done NOTHING. They haven't even passed any meaningful legislation since taking over Congress. Talk about a country going backwards.

Wake up America! The left are great at complaining and badmouthing the President just to accomplish their agenda; but they have yet to show that they have any solution whatsoever to back up their rants.

Show me a Democrat that has the guts to have a plan or solution and present it to the American People and I will show you politician that will be shunned by his/her own party (i.e. Joe Lieberman).

The Dems have no one that will come forward and say Pres. Bush is doing what they would do. Sorry to disappoint the weak minded who believe everything they hear in the drive-by media, but we will have a Republican President after the next election. Thank God!

No one is saying ALL the troops will be there until 2013. If you had been paying attention you would realize that they are still advocating a phased withdrawal of most of our troops starting soon. The troops left will be used to guard our embassy (largest in the world) and some oil fields and refineries. That is a fraction of what we have now. They will not be combat forces nor will they be anything more than guards.

If pulling the troops out was really what the American People wanted, the candidates would be climbing over each other to do it first.

This is one of those little clues people need to look at. Not poll numbers.

Because they know that to do so would damage US credibility
around the world worst than Viet Nam. No matter how bad the libs are they don't want to look like fools, even tho they do quite a bit of the time.

They all did before, but now that they see the support for the Troops, and the failed attacks by the Moveon.org's Liberal Democrats, they AGAIN, NOW, CHANGE THEIR STANCE ON THE WAR!
These People will tell the American Citizens exactly what they want to hear.

If they suddenly pull all the troops out and a genocide results, it would sort of make them look bad. Especially if they didn't send them right back again.

They took a page out of Bush's war playbook, never make a promise of something you will do that hinges on a future outcome. The dems don't know what kind of mess Bush is going to leave them to make a promise. And if they made a deadline commitment, they also don't want cons turning around saying "deadline for surrender! deadline for surrender!" which plays more favorable to Bush and Co.

They fell asleep next to the Pods that have taken their place. Also, this occurred after the spine removal procedure that Dems seem to go through.

because they're wussies. Edwards' answer was pretty close to the right one, but still not a commitment.

fellow libs: pull your heads out and get behind Dennis. he's the only candidate, left or right, that gives a crap about what's good for AMERICA, rather than good for his political career.
