I'm running Windows XP SP2 and have a Dell Latitude D610 on a docking station with a dual monitor. The laptop is the primary monitor (on the right) and the 19" flat panel monitor is on the left. Everything works fine with one minor exception. When I undock the laptop and use it, then re-dock it, the settings revert to the second monitor being on the right (instead of the left). So I have to go in to Display Properties --> Settings and change it back every single time. Is there a way I can make the laptop save the location of the second monitor? Thanks.

I suspect that this is a 'feature' of the video chipset and how it handles docking and undocking.

Try downloading the latest video drivers. If that does not work, call or E-mail Dell technical support and raise it as a problem.
