in what type of titrations the benzene azo 2 napthol is uesful??? and what is its pH range???

Hmmm . . . I can't find any pKa or acid-base indicator information on this in my CRC Handbook. All I find is that benzene-azo-2-naphthol is an orange dye used in gasolines.

It is also called 1-phenylazo-2-naphthol, and is often under the trade name Sudan 1 or C.I. Sovent Yellow 14 (as well as many others -- see the references).

The MSDS indicates that it is insoluble in water, so pH would not be appropriate.
