My computer is old and I fear that it could crash at anytime. Therefore, I would like to find a way to store a copy of my hard drive. I'm not savvy enough with computers to figure out a way to save a copy myself. I'm sure there must be companies out there that offer "back-up" service. If you know of such a company, please send me the details. Thanks

Some CD burner software has the option of hard drive backup, which in some cases requires a few Cd's. I have used this and reinstalled from the backup, seems to work fine.

Hi. There are quite a few but most require a fee. http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&sourceid=deskbar&q=online+data+backup
I also agree with answer 2. An external hard drive is easy to install (if you have a USB port). Some have a "one button backup" feature.

You could buy an external hard drive. These are typically plug and play. If you have an old PC, you may need to install hardway.

You only need to save files that you have created (word files, photos, spreedsheets)

You do not need to save software (word, paint, games...).
