Yesterday my 13 month old daughter started grabbing something "imaginary" out of this little bucket she has and was giving it to me. I played along and pretended to eat it as if it was raisins or whatever. She loved that and kept pretending to give me more of the "nothing!" :)
Is that normal at her age?

Thanks for much everyone, it seemed young to me, my husband just sat there amazed and then said "is she normal?" haha.

It may be a little on the advanced side, but yeah, this is about the age they start learning to pretend-play. Have fun, it's such a cute phase!

I assume it's normal since my son is the same age and has also just started playing imaginary games. I thought it might be a little on the young side, but maybe not.
Either way, it is the cutest thing ever to watch him with the toy animals pretending they're walking and babbling.
I hope you're enjoying this age as much as I am...it sounds like you are!

It is normal.. she just has a good imagination. Some children don't do those things for a little while, but it doesn't make her abnormal.
