no. its science fiction. only the illusion of it is possible. if you could travel faster than light you could go "back in time" but really you are seeing light that was transmitted back in time. you couldnt actually interact. its like when you look at the sun, you are seeing light from 7 minutes ago. science fiction people.

Travelling forward in time is inevitable. Travelling backward? It's theoretically possible; but you need an insane amount of energy in order to do so, and you can't go back any further than the time you built the time machine. How it works is: you create a wormhole (don't ask me how), with one endpoint here on Earth and the other anchored inside a spaceship. You then send the ship zipping around at a hair under the speed of light. The Earth-side portal continues moving through time at normal speed, while the portal on the ship (for all intents and purposes) stops in time at the point the ship took off. In this way, anything that goes through the portal on Earth effectively comes out on the ship, going back to the time when it was first launched.

Forward yes. Backward no.

By accelerating to a really high velocity, your time will slow relative to that of those you left. This has been proven in Earth's orbit. Unfortunately, at the present time (no pun intended), it's not too efficient. We're just not able to achieve the speeds necessary for big leaps forward.

As you've already surmised, traveling backward in time presents all sorts of paradoxes (like what happens if you kill your parents before they have you?). Unless you believe that traveling back in time can change the future, backward time travel won't work. More importantly, we can't even begin to think about it without discussing wrinkles in the space-time continuum.

If you mean "Back to the Future" style, no. But we're all traveling forward in time right now, eh.

One thing I always wondered was: when people travel back in time, they always end up standing in "the same spot". But "the same spot" is a relative quantity - relative to the equator and meridian of the Earth. Meanwhile, the Earth is turning, revolving around the Sun, the galactic center, etc. So why didn't Marty McFly wind up buried in a mountain in China, or adrift in the middle of space, when he "went back in time"? Strange.

Obviously. It is not possible not to travel through time. Everyone is doing it right now. Furthermore, it is possible, and mandatory, to travel forward through time at a different rate than everyone else. For why, read about the twin paradox. Traveling back in time does not seem to be possible even theoretically.

Scientifically if it take time for a cup of coffee to fall on the Ground and Break. The Cup takes time to break to pieces and the coffee to spill.
Science experiment # 1
If You could go back in time the Cup of coffee would mend itself together and the coffe wil finds its way back into the Cup.
Science experiment #2
If a criminal experiences the time for the guilotine to chop his head off, his head will take time to roll in the bascket.
If the executioner could go back in time , the Head that rolled off will reattach itself and the Guillotine Blade will resets itself.

Science can do great things =travel thru time and backwards.
It this could be achieved problems could be corrected.

Time travel is technically possible.
only possible using Einstein's equation of Special theory of relativity, n that d Time was not a fix property of d universe but a Relative property of things in motion. a clock in motion ticks slower than d stationary clock, n u need precise clock to notice that.
Gravity is d key, it is gravity that wraps time. theoritically one of acceptable time machine is Wormholes or Cosmic Strings n black holes.

THE TIME MACHINE n BACK TO THE FUTURE movies is also a classic.

According to some expert physicists, yes:

In order to accept time travel as possible, you have to accept some possibilities to avoid time travel paradoxes, like the possibility of alternate universes. These video clips discuss this and examine chaos theory (i.e. "the butterfly effect" in these video clips.
