Don't know - but it wouldn't hurt them to help her now. She had to struggle and is still struggling.
I still think of little Ben, although I know he's grown up now. It's terrible what his mum and family members have had to endure alone.
I don't believe jealousy comes into it Bec, I think it's principles.
You shouldn't give one without giving the other.

Great question.
I was watching an interview with Ben's mother about six weeks ago. I can't even begin to imagine how she must be feeling, having lost her own son, and now watching how much help the McCanns have had.
Ms Needham said that when her son vanished, she found it almost impossible to get any help whatsoever in Greece, where they were at the time.
I don't blame the McCanns for doing their best to raise awareness about their missing daughter.
But I do feel for the Needhams.

I seem to remember this case being all over the papers. There was also the aging that was done to Ben's photo for people to have some idea about what he looked like and I have seen that in Tesco. Unfortunately they were not offered the money that the McCanns have been but his mum has welcomed the support the McCanns have been given by the authorities. The grandparents were virtually accused of murdering him. If this case does one thing I hope it is to highlight all the other children that are abducted.

When this all started GMTV interviewed Kerry Needham and her father, both of whom are still suffering and she sympathised with the Mccans and said they need all the help they can get. What a lovely woman to be able to say that when she knows, as she said they had to return to the UK they was not able to stay and look for Ben. I would not be as gracious as that I am sure. I would feel bitter towards the help financial or otherwise they have been given. When I think of Kerry Needham my heart goes out to a woman with a genuine broken heart.

There was plenty of press coverage at the time, and every now and again a programme re Ben is shown, i have often seen computer images of how he may look either on TV or in the press. Also possibly because it was so long, it was unknown for celebs to get involved with these cases, it is only of late this has began to happen

It doesnt seem right does it?
It just goes to show that to a certain degree its not what you know its who you know!
Im guessing money had a part to do with it as well.
The press are out of order, they should give all missing kids coverage.
Just think, if every paper had just 1 page a day with photos on of missing kids, it could make one big difference to their families.

Ben's family didn't know what had happened to Ben ,they were completely innocent. The Mc's on the other hand have done what they have done for all these months because they are liars and covering up something terrible with the help of the spin machine. They started this snowball of deceit rolling down the hill and now all their friends in high places are helping them to keep it going. Shame on them all.

One very big difference. They never had the power of the Internet in Ben Needhams day. Whether you are for or against you all have one thing in common, you are keeping this in the public eye by commenting on here.
Edit; If it wasn´t for the Internet the newspapers would have dropped this months ago.
