I was apparently quite the fan of Sesame Street, my parents tell me I used to cry when it went off. I also watched Mr. Roger's Neighborhood, Captain Kangaroo, and a very weird show called the New Zoo Revue (which I've seen on a local station a few months back and was shocked at how strange it was).

I remember watching Sesame Street, Mr. Rogers, Romper Room, the Electric Company, and Zoom. I can't remember now if I was already in first grade or not though.

TV didn't come in until I was in what we now call middle school. My childhood was spent listening to radio. Back then we had the same kinds of shows: sit coms like "Life of Riley," "Duffy's Tavern," "Father knows Best;" soap operas like "Life Can be Beautiful," and "Stella Dallas;" variety shows like "the Jack Benny show;" mysteries like "The Shadow," "Mister District Attorney," and "The Whistler;" and forerunners of Twlight Zone like "Dimension X." You can find these on CD today at Barnes&Nobel and Bookland. Take a listen sometime. You'll be surprised what you missed.

I'm also in that age range that remembers Romper Room and Captain Kangaroo. The Three Stooges was my favorite, though.
