I have a flat tire, bought a new tire from Tire Rack. Can I just bring the old wheel in and the new tire to have it mounted and balanced or do they have to put it on my car?

You can take it with the wheel and get it mounted and balanced and then just take it home if that's what you want.

They ballance them off the car anyway.
Just take the tire and rim in.
They'll charge around $30 for mounting and ballancing.

yes you can bring it they want the money , they might charge the same amount.
