My partners ex boss got married 3 weeks ago and is now having a hog roast to invite friends and collegues who didn't attend the wedding. I thought just a simple black dress as no dress code is stated...but some people say smarter as if for a wedding and other people have said smartish jeans with a top..... please help.....

I'd say, depending on the weather, to go with some nice slacks and a nice shirt. Take a sweater. You don't want to wear a dress (too dressy) or jeans (too casual). You won't be too over dressed or too under dressed. Bring extra jewelry if you feel like you need a little pazazz! Good Luck!

Have you ever been to a pig roast I would wear jeans and a t-shirt cute/sexy but nothing fancy it like a BBQ. Plus if he wanted you to dress up they would have invited you to the wedding

Pork roast!
That will be outdoor!
so wear a nice pair of jeans and a nice two piece sweater such as a short sleeve and a long sleeve or a no sleeves and a long sleeve on top ,remember that it is Fall and the evenings tend to be a bit cooler now!

Something comfortable. Probably regular shoes. You are going to a PIG ROAST. You and everyone else will get very drunk. Make sure that they do not drop the pig when they are taking it off the cooker. Have Fun!

I would go in pants, jeans would be fine......you will likely be uncomfortable in a dress of any kind , also skip the heels! Wear flats !
