It's funny you should ask because I was searching for a question that asked this very samething. Grey's is a non stop domino effect. Izzi loves George who loves her but is married to Torres: aka George loves Meredith who loves Derek but is married to Addison!! That's the whole thing, round and round it goes, where it stops, well that's always going to be predictable. The best parts of the show are the weird a** cases that show up at the hospital, aka the woman who had spontaneous orgasms, etc. The show was good when Meredith had to chase Derek and McSteamy was chasing Addison, now that that whole thing is over, it's pretty much just monotonous story lines. They are trying to spice things up with Lexie Grey, "the other bar" girl, and George/Izzie but it's pretty much over. I hope they pull it out, but then look at how long ER's been on.

The first season kicked major butt, and I doubt episodes can be as good as they were back then....however, with only one episode in the fourth season airing, it's too early to tell. Last night's episode was sort of refreshing, but it's like they used the same air freshener scent, it needed something else.
I loved how all the residents told their interns the same things that Bailey told them when they started. They're not treating George like an intern, so that's definitely a plus, so it's like he has the one up on everybody. I'm glad Burke is gone, last season he was starting to get on my nerves big time, it's like he couldn't really decide on anything, so I'm glad he's gone. I don't like that Addison is gone, she definitely brought something to the show, and I missed seeing her dynamic between Callie, they truly had a moment last season.
I liked it more when Izzy and George were friends, this new path they've taken, it can only lead to screwy things (pardon the pun). Alex, along with his interns, not noticing that guy who kept eating things....that's going to lead to something fatal or tragic later on in the season, maybe a repeat of when Alex OD'd & coma'd that annoying male patient.
The deer thing, nice curveball from Izzie, and her interns seem out of their element. I disagree that they're going down the tubes, however, this season needs to perk up and start acting like the first season of Grey's again.

I was also disappointed with the season premeire. I hate that burke and addison are gone, and that george is an intern, and meredith and mcsteamy broke up! and christina turned soft, and Alex is nice? ehh.I hope they make a good season despite everything.
oh and yes the new interns suck, i hate merediths sister.

I am very impressed you know jump the shark. Every time I use the term, people look at me strange. My wife feels the same way as you. I am not sure yet. Often you have to look backwards and figure which episode made a good show turn for the worse. We may need some time to know the new characters. Only time will tell, but I am willing to give it more time.

This show definitely jumped the shark last season when Meredith fell in the water. The symbolic beginning of the end. I heard that it was going to be so much better this year, so I gave the premier a chance. Bad move.

I loved Grey's when it first came on, but by the end of last season I was getting over it, but I watched the premier and I agree with you totally. Unless they really step it up some how, and I can't imagine how, I think it's a sinking ship. I am so tired of whiny wimpy Meredith and her man woes. And I really think they have ruined George's character also. At this rate, I won't finish watching this season.

i understand! i presumed it became meant to be over at 10:00 with the chuffed ending of Christina going to get married yet then all this mess starts off falling down. My genuine grif is with the actuality that Miranda (Natzi) Bailey did no longer get that chief residency spot. Now you presently she deserved that. yet with Christina and Burke i'm no longer shocked. I wasn't feeling that a marriage might succeed. Are they attempting to place in writing George off the tutor?

Disagree. They were just laying ground work last night for new characters and explaining old leaving. I think they have to move on with new story lines. Looks like something will finally focus on Alex. He hasn't had much center stage for a while.

completely disagree. george telling izzy he loves her is just starting the bizarre events this season will bring. there's no way the show will go down hill. but about the interns, i agree. they suck.
