They refuse to go to any debates about issues among the minorities in America .

Do they think as Bush does that these people and the specific problems they have are of no concern and should be ignored .

The media also seems to do a fine Job of this also .

What some have said candidly is that they already have the Oreo vote and don't think they have a chance of swaying the votes of people who think. I obviously changed their words to mine. They use prettier words, like hiring armed goons to keep people from the reservation from voting they called protecting the polls.

Even the black candidates ignore the black community. I dont know WTF is up with that. My thought is that the black community is usually represented by extremists such as Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson, so perhaps the republicans feel it would be a waste of time to try to talk to them. But my feeling is, if you don't try at all, you've got about a 0 percent chance of getting these folks vote. If you do talk to them, you at least have a 50/50 chance.

Perhaps because the black community has shown that any overtures at all will be rejected and will still give at least 90% of their vote to the Democrats.

It's become a "why bother?" thought process to the Republicans, probably with good reason.

The legitimate candidates showed up.
The media "front runners" are empty suits.
The more controversial ones like Tancredo and Hunter, did well.

No, I really don't think they do. What they don't do is the "high profile, media attention-getting" token appearances that some of the others do. I think they rely more on people - of all colors - to make their decisions on merit, not on special interests. To me, I prefer a person who campaigns to all Americans, not one who only goes to certain groups (whomever they may be).

Why can't minorities show up at a normal, American citizen debate? Why do we need a debate for every race, gender, and creed?
