Roman Numerals are a bit like living math. You deal with main numbers such a five (V) and ten (X) and then do a bit of math in getting the numbers in between.
Placing a lesser number before a main numeral SUBTRACTS it from the main (only one is allowed). Such as IV is actually FOUR (4). Placing it to the right of the number lets you ADD it (or them). VIII is (5+3) 8.

24 is XXIV. 10 is X. Roman numerals are consistent with a gadget of which includes; 20 is XX (2 Xs). V is 5 and that i is a million. by certainty Roman numerals are written from superb determination to smallest (and V is greater suitable than I), IV could prefer to be a pre-substantially used determination. IV is declaring, "! determination formerly V," or 4. placed all of it on an identical time (20 = XX, 4 = IV) and your determination is XXIV.

8 in Roman numerals is VIII. I recently found this website (refer to source below) which helps you convert a number (for example, 10) to its Roman numeric equivalent. It really helps, especially if you're too tired to mentally convert the number yourself. :P
