Anything over 12 is PM anything before is Am so just take 12 away from the first 16:
4:16 PM.

AM is just as it is, unless if it is 0:something then that is 12: something AM

It is based on a 24 hour clock instead of a 12 hour clock. So the day starts with 0:00 and ends in 24:00.

Midnight can be both 0:00 or 24:00 depending what day you are counting it. (if you had saturday at midnight then 24:00 would be the date of saturday (it is saturday night) and 0:00 would be the date of sunday (it is sunday morning) but they are both the exact same time)

2:00 would be 14:00
3:00 would be 15:00
4:00 would be 16:00
and so forth--just keep going around the clock till you get to 24 which will be 12:00 again
