i recently made a traveling softball team. and here are my problems
1)we have practice thursdays and sunday mornings. i go to church on a regular basis and my mom is getting really upset that my parents have to miss church too b/c they have to drive me to practices.
my school is supposed to start a daily after-school strength training. they have yet to announce it yet but the head coach is also the football coach.
2)it seems that everyday i go to the school store and buy candy. im not fat but i can tell im gaining a little weight. how can i shed off those pounds and regain my muscles?? i need simple things that i can do everyday. i feel like i just can't get motivated to do anything. i get all these ideas and make charts and set goals. but i soon drop them after a couple of days.

thank you

#1 - Without getting into religious beliefs, I believe a parent's number one priority should be their children, above any religious affiliation. If you want to join a traveling softball league and it happens that practices are on Sundays, your parent's should be overjoyed to see you involved in an extra curricular activity and have no problems or hesitations in assisting and participating with you in your involvement.

#2 - This is simply just a lack of motivation. Nobody likes to work out, you need to motivate yourself. Don't just make charts and goals, make a schedule, but stick to it! Even if you just spend 30 minutes a day, 4 days a week, doing 3 sets of sit ups and 3 sets of push ups, you'll start to notice a difference. Plan to do your workout during a favorite TV show so you can do your sit ups and pushups during commercials. Or go to one of your favorite places outside like in the yard, put on some headphones and do some sit ups and push ups in the sun. You get a work out and a tan at the same time!

With whatever you choose, good luck, and talk to your parents about how important it is for you to be involved in extracurricular activities and how you want their support in the matter.

question 2 - try and do fitness workouts.. do something with other ppl that will motivate you more then sitting on the floor doing crunches

Can you ride your bike to softball practice? It would solve both of your problems at the same time.
