I think it is a woman's right to choose, though I would never choose it for myself unless I were raped or something, because I am a mom. Before I became a mother, myself I saw it a lot differently.

I think abortion is wrong because it is taking life away from a living thing, even though the child isn't yet born it is still alive. I also think that if you are willing to have sex you need to fully understand the consequences that could come with it and take responsibility for it. Plus, i know there are other options like putting the child up for adoption, in many situations you can even find a couple willing to adopt the child before it is born and have a pre-arranged situation....so that's just how i feel about it...i know there are many people who would agree and many who would disagree..

It's the woman's right to choose. Right or wrong - that's the law. I would not have an abortion, however. There are so many women out there that can't have children, if I were to wind up with an unwanted pregnancy (can't even imagine a point it would be unwanted), I would certainly choose adoption. If I was in better shape, I'd definitely consider being a surragate (sp?) mom for someone.

Are you seriously putting this in the Pregnancy and Parenting section? You are opening a big can of worms, so good luck on the result! Btw, as a parent, yes I'm against it. How after seeing that little angel move for the first time at 10 weeks could anyone think about getting rid of it? By then it has it's heart, hands and little toes. There is too much showing it as a living being to even think of killing it. Plus alot of people use it as a birth control method, and to tell the truth I would like to know how they would feel about being ripped from limb to limb and the having their skulls crushed because it's to big to fit in the needle. (Had to watch Silent Scream in Nursing, shows and abortion through the ultrasound and you watch the baby try to move from the needle. Watch it and tell me what you think after that.)

I am 100% against abortions because why open your legs knowing that u haveing a baby is a very good chance birthcontrol or not i would rather put up for adoption because i would rather let a life live than watch an unborn child die because of their selfish parents !!!

I am pro-choice. I firmly disagree with being called "pro-abortion". I think the act of abortion itself is rather disgusting, however, it is not my place to point the finger and tell someone who doesn't want a baby that they HAVE to have it.
The procedure is there to prevent unwanted, neglected, welfare bound babies. It is done in a safe, clean, sterile environment where the women are take care of. If we are to restrict or eliminate the right to abort an unwanted pregnancy then women will resort to a lot of horrific tacts to rid themselves of the pregnancy (wire hangers, stabbings to the pelvis, beating the pelvis or bleach douches). Or birth the baby and put them in a dumpster, toilet or worse. Wouldn't it be better to have them not take that first breath then to die like that? Or live and know you are unwanted??
I agree with those who say that the child is an innocent, and they are. The option is there for those who need it, those who abuse it are mentally ill and have no conscience.
I am pro-choice, but I would never do it myself. I know the feeling of holding your newborn in your arms.

I believe everyone has a choice.
I myself do not believe in abortion because there are so many ways to give your child a life.
Like adoption!
That is my opinion

Its a womans body and her choice. Im against abortion as a form of birth control, however, sometimes it is necessary.
I had one. I can't imagine what my life would be like if I had went through with the pregnancy. Some women can't stand the idea of giving a child away for adoption so its pretty sad when people shove that in your face as your only other option besides abortion.

People say abortion is an issue of choice - the womans choice.
I disagree. Why? Because when you're talking about a human life (the fetus) no one can deny it the right to life. It's about the baby's life - not the mother's wishes.
Just because you are the mother of that child does not give you the right to kill it. Would pro-choice people say that mother's have the right to abuse their children just because they are the mother? Of course not!
Deliberately choosing to destroy an innocent fetus is ALWAYS a bad choice because murder is always wrong, so no person should ever support that choice.

I think unless its Rape or it will be harmfull to the mothers health to continue to carry it to full term, the mother should put the child up for adoption. Alot of couples would love to adopt.
