I do, because God hates divorce. Marriage is a covenant between two people and God.

Getting divorced is very much like a death in the family, it's the death of a lot of hopes and dreams. There are situations where it is the only solution, but divorce is not a rewarding experience at all, regardless of the reason behind it. Moreover, if you are a man as I am, divorce is the opportunity for a vengeful, unstable or just plain greedy woman to take your kids away from you, most if not all of your assets, even get you tossed in jail with the blessings and power of the government behind her. The government is also anti-male and anti-family in the extreme. Because of the incredibly negative consequences of divorce for men, many are either choosing to never marry or re-marry. There is a vast and growing "ghost nation" of men who are going their own way without women and without the government harassing them too. I've been married and now I am divorced because I discovered that marriage to many women is little better than being locked up in a concentration camp.

I think divorce sucks! There are very few reasons that make divorce acceptable. If you commit to a person for better or worse, then you should hold to your promise through the bad times.
So many people jump into marriages now with the thought that they can just get a divorce when it isn't fun anymore.
I was married to a man who physically, verbally, and mentally abused me, plus had 3 affairs in the 3 years we were married. I moved out briefly the day after he pointed a loaded shotgun at me. Some people may think I'm stupid, but before it was all said and done I tried to make things right. I tried to go to counseling with him.
Marriage is not something to take lightly people!

On the spiritual side of things... God hates divorce. I hate it because it damages lives. People seem to think that they should just be able to go their separate ways and everything will be fine... it's not quite that easy. Getting a divorce is like unscrambling two eggs. When people divorce they also leave quite a wake behind them. If there are kid's, they're obviously affected, but so are the couple's families and friends who have counted on them to be together. Divorce complicates all of those relationships. Sure you can find love and happiness again, but you have a mess that will follow you for the rest of your life.

I gotta go with nuscorpii on this I have never been married and after seeing how divorce has worked for my friends I never will. Marriage is suppose to be 50/50 but divorce seems to be 90/10 all in the woman's favor, no thanks I'll pass.

Mostly, I hate divorce because God hates divorce. And, because I've seen the effects of it firsthand, since I was 8 years old.. My parents divorced then, and my Mother married a man who abused her mentally and physically.. then they got a divorce, and she married a man who was addicted to pornography (yes, including child porn), then they divorced. Then, she married her current husband, and he's actually a good guy.. I like him alot. But, obviously.. I hate divorce because it's turned my life upside-down since I was a little girl!

What I hated more was being beaten!
And my hubby is a child of divorced parents and he said that he was happier when they apart because the yelling and fighting wasn't happening every night.

well no one intentionally wants a divorce. most people me included wanted a marriage to last but when a man goes with every thing he can brings home VD. then its time to wind up the stuff and leave. you can't stay around for this type of treament and there was alot but one can not stay for that. so then its like hey move on and they do which is normal.

Marriage is honourable and the bed is undefiled. Divorce destroys relationships, love, togetherness, happiness and it often leads one down a path of sin.
This is exactly what satan wants.
We must pray for our marriage and fight to save it. I don't believe in domestic violence.
I believe that God would not like any physical harm to come to his own.
