I just got birth control, and I'm just wondering...it says start it the Sunday after your period. I got mine Monday of this week, 9/24. So am I supposed to start it this coming Sunday, 9/30? I won't still have my period by then...

Do start your pills on the 30th. Whether or not you're still bleeding is irrelevant.

One thing: BE SURE to use backup contraception until the 8th of October.

You can actually start your pills ANYTIME after your bleeding starts. However, all the pill packages are made with a sunday start (there should be little stickers with the days of the week to stick over the ones they have printed on the package above each pill). Therefore... if you started bleeding this past monday (sept 24th, if you want a sunday start, you start taking your pills THIS sunday, september 30th). If you have any more questions you can e-mail me.

Yep, Sunday would be the day to start. Doesn't matter if you have your period or not. Start your pills as directed and don't forget to take them ever day!~
