I tell my girlfriend that i love her and sweet dreams every night, If im not with her then i'll call her.

My children almost always tell me when they are going to bed and I almost always say " I love you good night" .
Occasionally a child will have irritated me well and I'll just say "good night" but the child will then say "I love you mom" and then I say "love you to".
Saying good night is not a rule, sometimes it's not possible but it is routine.

Of course i do its just good manners and shows respect and being nice or just common sence! Either way its nice to tell a person that and they like to hear it, there is nothing wrong with telling a person good nite, I my self do it all the time! I tel my wife good night and if i am talking to one of my online friends I tell them good night too!

yep. Even though I'm away at university, I still call my mom every morning and say good morning and every night to say goodnight.

checklist 4 issues down.... a million --> Wash my face 2 --> Brush my tooth 3 --> Take out my contacts 4 --> final minute sparkling up of the room the 1st 3 are like rote. I continuously do them in that order!!

My daughter and my 8 year old grand-daughter. I would feel like something was missing if I didn't.

yes. I say goodnight to both my kids and my husband and sometimes I say it to my dogs and cats. LOL
