What prompted me to ask this question is because, today, due to an imbecil of a driver, i had to wait twice, not once for the traffic to change to green. He drove so, so, slow, the traffic changed from green to red - as he approached it- and he stopped, making all of us, wait, again, until was green again.
I am a careful driver, and due to my job I cant have points on my licence, neither convictions, but I do get mad, frustrated and grumpy when i see the incompetence and lack of common sense and curtesy of some drivers. Why is so difficult to " think" of others too, when you drive?
I often "give them way" if they are stuck and always keep my distance.
So, what drives you crazy? and
Do you feel getting really angry about that, almost having to keep calm, enough so that it doesnt turn into a road rage?

fantastic answers everyone, keep them comming, i read them all. If i were to reply to my own question, i would say "lack of signalling" would probably be my nr 1 complaint too.

Boy do I understand! I also drive for a living and the thing that really gets me is all the people I see running red lights! I have almost been hit several times, one of which, would have, at least, put me in the hospital for a long time.
Is like people don't think they also would be hurt if an accident happens, or they Just DON'T think!

Green is Go
Yellow is caution, and to let you know a red is coming:-)
Red is STOP!!!!!

Be Safe out there fellow "good" drivers :-)

What bothers me is people who drive so close to me, they might as well be in my trunk.... or those who do no signal when they make a turn. Cell phone users should not use them while driving, pull off into a parking lot, nothing can be that important to get into an accident.

I just realize there are people in the world that really do not drive well, and should not be on the road.

I am a good driver, and wished more people we considerate and better drivers. . . less people getting killed for no reason!

Yes I hate slow pokes that will not let other traffic around.
But even more so are drivers that do not know what those lines on the highway mean. Passing in no passing zones and crossing into the lane of oncoming traffic because they think that makes them faster.
Another one is drivers who can not park in one parking spot and seem to be in a contest with one another as to who can take up the most.

Mad? Not too much gets me mad while driving. Yes the slow (usually older people) drivers are annoying but so are the one's who can't get there fast enough. But you can't really do anything but make sure you don't end up in an accident because of them by maintaining your logical self. My number one issue with driver's in general is the lack of using a blinker.

Middle lane hoggers on the motorway!! Especially when there's not much other traffic around...GRRRRR!! It's so annoying! And when there is a lot of traffic on the motorway, these drivers effectively turn the motorway into a dual carriageway which slows everyone down!

Also, people who get too close up behind you - it's so dangerous! If I was to have to brake suddenly they would smash right into the back of me!

I hate people who don't indicate, where if they had indicated you could have moved on already, ie on roundabouts when people don't indicate that they are turning off so you have to wait for them 'just in case'. Also people who drive at 25 in a 40 when there are speed cameras because they assume it's a 30, they are too stupid to read the signs saying it's a 40 zone. And finally I hate people who drive at a reasonable speed then slam the brakes on to pass a speed camera! God, I hate speed camera's!

I expect nothing good from present day drivers. In fact it can be quite a lot of fun trying to look for the clues to the 'what happens next' scenario!

this is what drives me mad when I'm driving. people too close behind me.if driving too close i pull over to the gutter so the stones and debry get chucked at the idiot behind if they don't get the message i resort to plan b, left foot braking (can be quite good fun once mastered) this works well.roundabouts, people need too realise that their are two lanes and not one. so remember when going straight on at a roundabout think of those turning right.don't cut them up.
