My problem is I am retired military. I haven't stayed in the same town longer than three years yet, and I've been lucky to see my home country much less my home town much. How am I supposed to have anything BUT roller coasters?

For me so far, love includes an E-mail address....and a crash helmet. Okay, when I was younger that was cool, but now....? No.

I think the spell will be broken this time. I am lucky that my kids are all in the same town, and I moved here to stay and help raise them. Hopefully I will find someone who sees the committal, honest, responsible guy and like what they see. Until then, it's work hard, deal with the ex, try to keep the kids happy when I have them and figure out a second 20-year career. Where the point arrives that the crash helmet comes off I am not sure.

my marriage feels like a roller coaster ride all the time. it's still going on now and I don't think it will every end. but I deal with it as best as I can. all I can do is take it one day at a time.

Yes!
It was with this guy Greg that I went to school with last year (I'm in eighth grade now). We had a lot in common - the same teachers, the same birthday even. I'm almost certain he had a crush on me - like that person above me said, hindsight is 20/20. At the time, he freaked or something about liking me and starting acting really weird, and I couldn't figure out what was with him all year!

Then he moved to Austria. It was a bit of an abrupt ending.

Nope, mine feels like the last tractor ride back to the barn in the spring. It's a slow grueling trek that never seems to end and all the plowing is done and over with.

Oh yes....my first boyfriend. I was 14, he was 16, by age 25 we were divorced and had 2 daughters. 12 years of misery but I'm happily remarried and we have 2 more kids together. I learned a lot from my mistakes and didn't make them again!

Roller coaster and merry-go-round relationships tend to make me nervous and dizzy.

Yes. Badly. In retrospect I should have let go sooner. Hindsight is 20/20.

She was bi-polar, I was madly in love. She went back to her parents. I was left alone with a shattered heart.
Many, many years ago, but I recall the pain.
