I believe it. For one thing, the NL Central has six teams, more than any other division so there's more of a feel for each other I think and they're used to every players tendencies and so forth. But the talent-level is kinda like the NL West was a couple years ago when the Padres were a game over .500 and won the division.
I hope the Cubs get killed, though.

That is why Baseball is great. Two years ago the Central was the one of the best divisions in MLB and last year the Cards won the series. And this year the Cubs will bring the trophy to the Chi. It just proves that the regular season doesn't mean a whole lot.
GO Cubbies!

Cubs may end up with more than 83, but if it gets you the division then it's enough. By the way, there are 4 teams in the AL with 90+ wins, not 3.

1) If it is about what you do at playoff time - the Cubs will be gone soon. They will get in despite themselves. They are not winning to get in - Milwaukee is losing them in.
2) St Louis last year was the exception to the norm. Usually the best (or at least one of the best) get into the World Series and wins. They were the odd ball last year. The Cubs give me no reasons to think they will win it all.
3) Now 3 months since the Cubs won a series against a team with a winning record!!

Do you forget last year already, The Cardinals w/82 wins, won the World Series. Beating Padres, Mets, and Tigers. All better teams than last year.

Yes i can believe it. That's the way Selig wants it, parity.
In addition, if a team wins it's Division, what difference does it make?
I'm not a big fan of the wild card teams making it to the playoffs.
I say let's go to 2 Divisions in each league.

Yeah. That's what the Cardinals did last year, and they won the title. It's not about wins and losses. It's about who's hot at playoff time.

Selig's dreams of "parity" and "competitive balance" are coming so very true.
Now if only the damn teams would have the grace to finish each at 81-81, it would be perfect in his myopic eyes.
Remember, "parity" and "competitive balance" are synonymous with "mediocrity". It's all in the marketing spin.
