Levitation is a difficult feat to accomplish. It takes years of training your mind to focus your energy and expel it from the right place to lift off of the ground. Try the following exercises:
Stretch both of your arms at a slow pace until they are perpendicular with your body while at the same time breathing slowly and methodically. Once you assume this position, move your arms directly in front of you and start leaning forward. Keep the rest of your body as straight as possible. Just lean forward and focus on not falling. Lean some more. There you go, good.
The side effects of levitation? I've experienced nausea from elevated heights (vertigo) as well as odd looks from spectators.

This is to spare you from all the nasty and weird comments that people on Yahoo answers post to such questions:
Although people have long claimed the ability to levitate, they probably don't physically levitate. They are usually doing something to trick observers into believing they are. Criss Angel does not actually levitate. He is a stage magician. He creates optical illusions to surprise and entertain people.
Certain kinds of meditation, after long practice, may result in the psychological "feeling" that you are levitating or that you have ejected from your body and are floating around--but the body itself probably does not actually levitate.
Tibetan Buddhists (in Tibet and Nepal) and also yogis in the east believe that certain practices (such as doing certain meditations while sitting in a unlit cell or underground for years and years without ever emerging) will result in the power of levitation or other feats that defy nature and physics. People report seeing such things but sometimes "believing is seeing" instead of "seeing is believing." That is, people see what they want to see instead of seeing reality.
Some yogis go out in public and "levitate" but they are really just doing a magic trick. This has been documented on film.
Some Tantric yogis learn to bounce high while they are sitting in the lotus position. They consider this practice "levitation." I do not know how it is done but it is a feat of physical endurance.
Finally, a person should not do chakra work in hopes of gaining supernatural or unnatural powers. This is a lowly use of the arousal of such energy. Chakra work is done to purify consciousness. Powers (siddhis) arise as side effects of the process of spiritual transformation.

If you really want to levitate, then you need a gimmick such as a mechanical devise. Other wise, you'll never get both feet off of the ground.

Hi Faizi,
As long as you carry the weight of this world you will probably not get any altitude. My suggestions to you, continue your meditation and keep your chakras balance. Now, most importantly, you must process through your life from your earliest memories. Any wrongs you have done you need to resolve within yourself and with that person if you can. Any wrongs that have been done to you must be, hopefully understood and, forgiven. It is important that you clear your soul of negative energy in order to fully energize your body and free it from this world's grip. This is done by increasing your vibration through compassion.

What i can do is, to tell you to get a proper Yoga Guru. Please check their credentials and all. If you're serious about this, i suggest getting a Guru, to guide you along. This is not something you do alone.
I'm sure Criss Angel had his Guru too... .someone that guided him.
