1. New England Patriots: They're just an outstanding team; pure and simple. Forget about the whole Spygate crap; the Patriots are just plain good. They've outscored their first 3 opponents 114-35; if that doesn't say good offense AND defense I don't know what does.
2. Indianapolis Colts: It actually bothers me to put them at #2, considering that they struggled a bit against the Titans and the Texans; however, Indy struggled against the Titans last year and the Texans aren't the same team that they were last year by any means. We know what Indy can do, and their biggest woes on defense aren't very obvious anymore.
3. Pittsburgh Steelers: That's right, the Steelers. Not Dallas. Although Dallas has such a good offense their total points scored this season (116) came against the Giants (1-2), the Dolphins (0-3) and the struggling Bears (1-2). The Steelers offense has been good (97 points in 3 games), but the defense has only allowed 26 points in the same timeframe. Yeah, the teams they played aren't playoff contenders, but it's clear that the Steelers have a wall built up against most (if not all) offenses.

1. Patriots - they are by far the best all around team, offense and defense
2. Colts - they are a good team but they haven't proven to me that they can consistently beat the Pats, and they always end up playing them in the playoffs
3. Cowboys - best offense in the NFL right now, but their defense hasn't played well this year
