Don't tell me just "drop the belt".There are many things he should do to earn back his 'true' wrestling fans which lost it around in the middle of 2006 i think..

Have a stable character.
One major reason people hate him is because he changed his character from what got him over in the first place. He was a comical, hip-hop, Vanilla Ice wanna-be, and that's what he should've stayed as. The Marine-like actions he took up during and after the creation of the movie really lost a lot of fans.

I think after he drops the belt at no mercy he'll become a heel for a while. Then go back to the John Cena that everyone was a fan of.

No way, if Cena beats Rock which will basically anger each and every of the Cena haters, he has overwhelmed The Rock, they are going to say "Cena constantly wins" and get much extra indignant, regardless of the not likely thought of Rock raising Cena's hand after he beats him, there are constantly going to be Cena haters, i'm a tweener while it consists of Cena, i do unlike him nore do I hate him.

hey! he needs to turn heel, or not so much heel but he needs to go on the offensive such as his recent attacks of the gms,cena has a lot of agreesion and we all no he has mic skillz and the best heels normally do! Maybe he needs to team up with like hmmm id say umaga! haha yes and they can go around and take out everyone who underapreciated them i think that would be cool but all in all cena needs to go back to the tough talkin hard hittin out of his mind unpredictable guy he use to be and is now coming back too! i hope anyways and giving up the title would be better than losing it

I think that its too late to win them back now, he could turn into the best wrestler in the world and he will not gain back those fans, no one cares for apart from kids and women, no one will ever care for him, his been the same for too long and the hatred has grown and grown, once you hate someone then there is very little chance of loving them or even liking them

i used to be a Cena fan when he was heel and when he had the rapper gimmick... so, as a former Cena fan, i assure u that he will get his fans back when he DROPS THE BELT, GET HIS OLD RAPPER GIMMICK BACK, AND TURN HEEL AGAIN!
oh and like TMM said, he needs to learn how to wrestle!

in a John Cena match, there has to be some tension. it doesn't help that he always wins. its always an anti-climax ending. John Cena wins again!!, sick of hearing his name

He doesn't have to do anything at all, because he haven't loss his fan. My little sister is his top fan and I am too. So if you don't like him, don't worry about him..
